Meet the team in the Newcastle Clinic
Meet our team of excellent chiropractors in Newscastle under Lyme and Stoke on Trent.
Dr Robert Finn
I qualified as a chiropractor over 25 years ago from the Anglo European College of Chiropractors (the oldest and largest chiropractic college in Europe).
I am very passionate about chiropractic and helping patients reach their health goals. Having treated and helped thousands of patients with their musculoskeletal problems ranging from neck, back, sports injuries over the years, I decided to advance to more complicated neurological or severe conditions such as migraines and headache, dizziness/vertigo (related to neck problems), nervous system problems.
In January 2018, I passed my Clinical Neuroscience exams and I am now the only Board Certified #Chiropractic #Neurologist in the Midlands. Out of 3200 chiropractors in the UK, there are fewer than 20 Neurology Diplomates who have achieved this. For the last 2 years I have been studying with the Carrick Institute, who are the leading authority in the training for chiropractors and physicians in postgraduate clinical neurology
This area of science is absolutely fascinating and it fits in extremely well with the ethos of chiropractic that we treat the whole body and allow it to repair itself without pharmaceutical or surgical intervention (until absolutely necessary). I have spent hundreds of hours learning about stimulating the brain to try and address a dysfuntion. I am looking forward to treating patients as we continue to get more referrals to help patients with more complex problems.
When I am not spending time reading and studying, I enjoy spending time with my lovely girls, playing tennis, walking, astronomy and pondering about the “bigger picture”.
Dr. Mohamad Kammouh
I joined the team at Newcastle and Stoke in 2017. I completed my Masters in Chiropractic in 2014 and worked in a number of clinics in Australia. I sat my test of competence exam (an exam that the GCC require foreign (ie non-EEA) chiropractors to take before they can be called chiropractors) in order that I could practice in the UK. In Australia, I also taught anatomy to medical students at Sydney and Macquarie Universities.
I discovered chiropractic when I sustained an injury whilst working as a firefighter and as a chiropractor, I have a special interest in neurology, sports injuries and chronic pain management. I also really enjoy treating shoulder problems!
I work both in the Newcastle and Stoke clinic with most of my time being spent in the Stoke clinic.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and son and exploring the UK and Europe.
Dr Burcu Cetinkaya
Dr Burcu studied a Masters in Chiropractic in Turkey but first qualified in physiotherapy and worked with patients who suffered from orthopaedic and neurological conditions. Her Masters’ thesis focused on **neck treatment** for office workers who work in front of a screen all day and consequently suffer from neck pain which a lot of our patients can relate to.
Dr Burcu is registered with the GCC and is a member of of the British Chiropractic Association and works in both Stoke and Newcastle clinics.
An experienced injury therapist, Jordan has dealt with an array of injuries from general aches and pains to post injury treatment/rehab working along side other health care professionals.
Currently in her final years of an osteopathic degree, Jordan will use her new knowledge, skills and profession to continue to benefit new and existing patients.
Joanna is a qualified sports therapist with a Masters Degree in sports injuries. Whilst she has focused on doing sports massage since qualifying, she has numerous additional skills including dry needling, manual therapy, nutrition, kinesio taping and gym instruction.
She will be working on developing our specialist rehab clinic ‘Rehab to Performance’ so that we can get you functioning at your optimum and back to doing the things you love and beyond; providing different services including sports injury rehab, acupuncture, massage and manual therapy.
I am the clinic’s Senior Chiropractic Assistant and have worked in the clinic for over 12 years which seems to have absolutely flown by.
I have lived in the Stoke/Newcastle area for most of my adult life. Previously working in the property and legal sector but always had a keen interest in fitness and health, particularly in natural remedies.
It was a friend of mine who noticed the vacancy and said “I have seen the perfect job for you”. I consider myself very lucky to be involved in being part of helping change people’s lives for the better and watching them return to health and fitness. There have been many changes here (progress I think it is called) and many more to come as we strive to improve on all levels.
There are lots of elements of my job which I really enjoy, particularly meeting all the different people and it’s great to get to know them and share their highs and lows as friendships are forged as well as on a professional level.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, walking, music and dancing, reading mostly detective novels, visiting stately homes, the odd glass of wine and of course chocolate. I’m trying to cultivate a liking for dark chocolate as it is more healthy for you (work in progress).
I have worked in the clinic for over 10 years and as a Practice Manager my role is to ensure that when a patient calls and comes to one of our clinics they receive excellent service and care in a fairly relaxed but professional atmosphere. Alongside Maggie and other Chiropractic Assistants, we are always striving to ensure that each and every individual patient is welcomed and has our full attention.
It is always fulfilling to see so many people improve and attain better health. I understand the agony that some patients feel when they have back pain or neck pain as I have also experienced it. I have seen the benefits of chiropractic not only when I have “pulled” my back but also for my own children. I am an advocate of not just the treatment but of the nutritional and lifestyle advice that is given by our practitioners.
I try to balance work and family life and love to exercise when time allows. Reading, occassionally teaching Zumba, learning about wine and gardening are some of my hobbies.
Note: The use of “Dr” is a courtesy title and NONE of the Chiropractors listed on this site, unless stated otherwise, have a general medical qualification. All have accredited Chiropractic qualifications and must be registered with the GCC to call themselves a Chiropractor.
