Meet the team in the Newcastle Clinic
Meet our team of excellent chiropractors in Newscastle under Lyme and Stoke on Trent.
Dr Robert Finn
Dr Robert Finn qualified as a chiropractor over 25 years ago from the Anglo European College of Chiropractors (which is the oldest and largest chiropractic college in Europe).
I am very passionate about chiropractic and helping patients reach their health goals. Having treated and helped thousands of patients with their musculoskeletal problems ranging from neck, back, sports injuries over the years, I decided to advance to more complicated neurological or severe conditions such as migraines and headache, dizziness/vertigo (related to neck problems), nervous system problems. This is clinical neurology or chiropractic neurology and I have been studying it through the prestigious Carrick Institute based in America.
This area of science is absolutely fascinating and it fits in extremely well with the ethos of chiropractic that we treat the whole body and allow it to repair itself without pharceutical or surgical intervention (until absolutely necessary). I have spent hundreds of hours learning about stimulating the brain to try and address a dysfuntion. I am looking forward to treating patients as we continue to get more referrals to help patients with more complex problems.
When I am not spending time reading and studying, I enjoy spending time with my lovely girls, playing tennis, astronomy and pondering about the “bigger picture” and walking.
I am the clinic’s Senior Chiropractic Assistant and have worked in the clinic for over 12 years which seems to have absolutely flown by.
I have lived in the Stoke/Newcastle area for most of my adult life. Previously working in the property and legal sector but always had a keen interest in fitness and health, particularly in natural remedies.
It was a friend of mine who noticed the vacancy and said “I have seen the perfect job for you”. I consider myself very lucky to be involved in being part of helping change people’s lives for the better and watching them return to health and fitness. There have been many changes here (progress I think it is called) and many more to come as we strive to improve on all levels.
There are lots of elements of my job which I really enjoy, particularly meeting all the different people and it’s great to get to know them and share their highs and lows as friendships are forged as well as on a professional level.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, walking, music and dancing, reading mostly detective novels, visiting stately homes, the odd glass of wine and of course chocolate. I’m trying to cultivate a liking for dark chocolate as it is more healthy for you (work in progress).
I have recently joined the team and I feel I have settled in extremely well – everybody is so friendly and welcoming! I still have a lot to learn but I am very much looking forward to expanding my knowledge to the world of chiropractic care.
Previously, I have been an Events Planner at the world famous Pinewood Studios where I organised all kinds of events such as wrap parties for onsite productions/films to corporate fund raising events.
I have recently relocated to Cheshire from London – The main reason for the move was to be closer to family as they live in Stoke-On-Trent. I have now purchased our first house with my partner and we are currently in the process of redecorating. Cheshire/Staffordshire is very different to London but we couldn’t be happier!
I have worked in the clinic for over 10 years and as a Practice Manager my role is to ensure that when a patient calls and comes to our clinics they receive excellent service and care in a fairly relaxed but also professional atmosphere. Alongside Maggie and other Chiropractic Assistants, we are always striving to ensure that each and every individual patient is welcomed and has our full attention. It is always fulfilling to see so many people improve and attain better health. I understand the agony that some patients feel when they have back pain or neck pain as I have also experienced it. I have seen the benefits of chiropractic not only when I have “pulled” my back but also for my own children and I am an advocate of not just the treatment but of the nutritional and lifestyle advice that is given by our practitioners.
I try to balance work and family life and love to exercise when time allows. Reading, occassionally teaching Zumba, learning about wine and gardening are some of my hobbies.
Note: The use of “Dr” is a courtesy title and NONE of the Chiropractors listed on this site, unless stated otherwise, have a general medical qualification. All have accredited Chiropractic qualifications and must be registered with the GCC to call themselves a Chiropractor.
